Takaoka IP Kabushiki Kaisha, “European Patent Practice”
Successful Patent Litigation and Patent Prosecution Strategies in Europe in light of Recent Developments (Kilburn & Strode / Wragge & Co. IP Seminar, Tokyo)
●Summary:
On June 29, 2012, European Council has reached agreement on the seat of the Unified Patent Court, having the office of the President of the Court of First Instance will be located in Paris and that two sections of the Central Division will be created, one in London, and the other in Munich. It is time that we should update our knowledge and information of European Patent Practice to be ready for the Unitary European Patent System which is expected to happen in early 2014. This seminar will be hosted by two European Law Firms, both of which have excellent reputations all over Europe and the world; Kilburn & Strode who has been well known for their strength in patent practices and Wragge & Co. whose attorneys have excellent results in Patent Litigation in Europe. The seminar will aim to provide the attendees with an overview of recent developments and advice on how to devise the best strategies for success in patent proceedings in Europe. The presentations will consider how to save costs and avoid problems in proceedings before the European Patent Office and the national courts in Europe. There may be important news on the new Unitary European Patent and Unified Patent Court to discuss also.
